Colette Pattern Sale

April 16, 2018 By Penny Lai Leave a Comment

We have just received notice that Colette Patterns is moving to digital patterns only.  They are not disappearing but restructuring their company.   Seamwork, their online pattern magazine, has grown quickly in the 3 years since its inception.   They have an amazing community around Seamwork and have big plans for expanding it with more interactive features, video, and more.  With the work involved with all these new online features, they do not have the time or (wo)man power to run the printed pattern business as well.  Hence their decision to  transition Colette Patterns to digital-only.
You get to benefit!  All our printed Colette patterns are on for $10.  Save yourself the inconvenience of printing off the file and taping all those 8″x11″ sheets of paper.  Have everything at your disposal without all that hassle.

Sale prices are available for your online shopping. Stock up now to make sure you get all the patterns you want!

May Happenings

April 29, 2017 By Penny Lai Leave a Comment

We have 2 events happening the same weekend!  Oh my, which to go to???

Our regular sewing forum is May 6 at the store.  It starts at 10am where you can bring your sewing and crafting successes, disasters, brick walls and see what our vibrant group makes of your sewing issues!

We will also be attending the Boundary Bay Quilters’ Guild show.  Held May 6 and 7 from 10am to 4pm both days at the South Delta Recreation Center (1720 56th Street, Delta)  Since it is Canada’s 150th Birthday this guild is celebrating it with a guild challenge titled, My Canada. Canada as seen through the eyes and mind of the quilter.  There will be a display of “150 Years of Quilting in Canada”. They also have a Baby Challenge, Beach Baby Blankets. Meet us at the merchant mall and check out the Guild’s Boutique. For more information about this guild, click here.

Oh Canada!

April 12, 2017 By Penny Lai Leave a Comment

With the upcoming celebration of Canada’s 150th anniversary (or sesquicentennial), a number of manufacturers have produced various lines of Canadiana prints.  This is not usual.  What is usually available is American prints – American flags, stars and stripes, etc because with the population of the USA being 10 times the amount of the Canadian population, there is just that much more demand for patriotic American prints.

This year is different.  Check out the cotton prints we just received that celebrates Canada!

  • canada 150 provincial flags

  • canada’s game hockey
  • canadian flag gordons
